Why NUEVO?

NUEVO School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD) is transforming the world of studio dance training.
What makes us different?

We believe:

  • Schools and studios of dance must make student learning and development the priority
  • Developing young artists with their own unique voice is more important than teaching them how to win a competition
  • Students should be trained by experienced and inspiring faculty who challenge them to grow
  • A young person need not possess natural talent to succeed in and benefit from dance, but the motivation and passion to do their personal best
  • Curriculum and classes should focus on developing a well-rounded dancer, prepared for both the company and commercial worlds (for those seeking a career)
  • If families are spending their valuable time and financial resources on their children to learn dance, then Nuevo has a responsibility to offer more
  • Teaching our students to be people of integrity, prepared to make a difference in their world

We're different. We're Nuevo. We invite you to join us on this journey.
